Today is our seventh anniversary. We went back into Boston again today. There was a clear sky for the third day. It reached the lower 80’s but will be getting cooler tomorrow and is supposed to rain again on Thursday. Mom and Pam told us that Houston got a lot of rain yesterday.
First we went to the National Park African American Heritage Museum. Then we went to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. This is one of the largest museums in the U.S. and has a fantastic collection of paintings, sculpture, and antiquities. We spent five hours there and still didn’t see it all. It was closing time so we had to leave. It would have cost us $42 to get in but the museum was free today. A company subsidized the admission for Columbus Day.
When we left this morning the office wasn’t open for us to pay to stay tonight so we had to go back to camp to pay for today and for another two nights. Then Jim and I went to have dinner at an Italian restaurant. Last night I bought a small cake and we had it with a glass of wine when we got back to the Casita.
